Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby

Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby were born in 1969. They studied architecture and design together at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1996, they founded their design studio, Barber & Osgerby. They have worked with brands such as Vitra, Flos, Swarovski, and Venini, creating furniture, lighting, and architectural projects. Their work combines artisanal and industrial techniques, recognized for graphic folded forms and bold use of color.

In 2001, they launched the Universal Design Studio, now considered one of the most innovative design agencies, and in 2010, they founded Map, another design agency.

Barber & Osgerby have been named Royal Designers for Industry and won the Jerwood Applied Arts Prize in 2004. Their work is part of the permanent collections of leading design museums worldwide, including the Design Museum in London, MoMA, and the V&A in London.
