Architect, interior designer, designer, Vincent Van Duysen brings to his projects a minimalist and elegant dimension that distinguishes them.
Born in 1962 in Lokeren, Belgium, he graduated in architecture from the Saint-Lucas Hogeschool School de Gand. He was later found in Italy in Milan where he collaborated with stylist Cinzia Ruggeri and worked with Aldo Cibic of Sottsass Associati. He develops his creations with the eye of an architect, starting from the notion of space rather than form.
Vincent Van Duysen always works according to his guideline, by shaping timeless pieces with tactile and pure materials. It refers to primary forms and historical objects while revisiting them in a contemporary way against all current trends.
The balance between form and vision is an important aspect of his work, as is durability, functionality and comfort. However, Vincent is not afraid of the “power of beauty”, for him it is an essential element of “the Art of Living”, the emotional side of architecture and design. Minimal and introspective, he also works in design and draws for brands such as Cappelini, Poliform, Varenna and B & B Italia. This predilection for elementary forms gives his work a timeless value.
In Europe, the United States and Japan, his work is praised for his qualities of elegance and refineme
