Le Val Thorens is a large, historic chalet located in the heart of the world’s best ski resort.

Our client, Les Hôtels d’en Haut, advised by interior architect Gilles Leborgne, decided to turn it into a reference point for sporty vacationers who love warm, character-filled spaces for après-ski.
A clear “art and design” approach was defined, and we had the pleasure of working alongside our friends at the Aéroplastics Gallery in Brussels to balance the presence of artworks and beautiful pieces of furniture.

Photographs, paintings, and installations by Massimo Vitali, Samuel Rousseau, and Martin Richman coexist in the lobby and lounges with furniture by Philippe Starck (Mister sofas by Cassina), Ray & Charles Eames (DCW chairs by Vitra), Arne Jacobsen (Egg and Swan chairs by Fritz Hansen), and Gerrit Rietveld (Utrecht chairs by Cassina)… a fine selection that speaks to the quality level of this establishment.

We also installed Ghost convertible sofas by Paola Navone for Gervasoni in the rooms, along with some pieces from Fermob and Emu that brighten the spaces and bring a refreshing touch to an atmosphere made for mountain lovers, 2300 meters above sea level.

Today, Le Val Thorens is owned by the hotel investor Beaumier.
Thanks to new strategic choices, it has changed its identity and decor, while still remaining at the cutting edge in this exceptional resort!
