Decorated Chalet in Méribel

A redesign project for a top-floor bourgeois apartment in the heart of Nice.
Soaked in natural light, this flat was entirely redesigned by Loft (long before it became Bel Œil!), which approached each room with a sense of unity: materials, furniture, and artworks all contributed to the coherence of the space for a family based in Nice.
The Bulthaup b1 kitchen is the heart of conviviality and family meals, leading into a spacious living room where the host’s piano shares space with sculptures, photographs by Gérard Malanga, and a Mex sofa by Piero Lissoni for Cassina.
At the center of the room, almost defiantly placed, stands the foot of the UP Series chair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia—a bold and unconventional statement in an otherwise structured setting.
In the bedroom, a Maxalto bed and the iconic UP 5 armchair, “La Mama,” again by Gaetano Pesce. At the back of the Pier dressing room by B&B Italia, one can make out a piece by John Isaacs.
This flat has undergone multiple transformations since our intervention, often to host contemporary art exhibitions: a true showcase for fine objects and striking installations.
