In the heart of Europe’s highest ski resort, Val Thorens, the Fitz Roy is a prestigious destination for mountain lovers—those who appreciate elegance, warmth, and understated luxury…

Our client, Les Hôtels d’en Haut, alongside interior architect Gilles Leborgne, asked us to help recreate the atmosphere of a grand, welcoming chalet—cozy and almost familial—through carefully selected furniture, vintage pieces, and decor.

The Maxalto collection took center stage: the Simplex sofas, Imprimatur sofas and armchairs, Musa chairs and armchairs, and Febo armchairs—all designed by Antonio Citterio—were placed in the guest rooms, lounges, restaurant, and library, giving each space impeccable quality and timeless character.

Bel Œil—Loft at the time—also proposed solid wood furniture with contemporary lines, where the presence of the material itself contributes to the strength and character of the project. CH07 armchairs by Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen, tables by Philipp Mainzer for E15, and seating and tables by Terry Dwan for Riva 1920… each piece plays a part in defining the identity of the space.

Our contribution also included the Ghost convertible sofas by Paola Navone for Gervasoni, as well as all the outdoor furniture for the terraces, with pieces by Fermob, Gloster, Roda and others. The Fitz Roy hotel project was a wonderful adventure, and one we remain very proud of today!

Today, Fitz Roy belongs to hospitality investment group Beaumier.

Following new strategic choices, the hotel has adopted a new identity and interior design, while remaining at the forefront of this exceptional resort!
