Bourret

Eric Bourret lives and works in the South of France and in the Himalayas.

His work as a “walking artist” follows in the footsteps of British Land Artists and landscape-roaming photographers.

Since the early 1990s, he has walked across the world, exploring every horizon at every altitude, capturing photographs he refers to as « expérience de la marche, expérience du visible » (meaning “walking experience, visible experience”). In these images, he conveys the deep sensory and physical shifts brought on by walking. The experience of the journey intensifies one’s perception and sensitivity to the landscape.

The work “Montagne Sainte-Victoire – Aix-en-Provence” is part of the Bel Œil Collection.
