EDHEC Paris
Furniture that has become an identity: le système USM Haller, which defines working organizations at EDHEC, on its campuses in Paris, London, Lille and Nice.
Bel Œil (Loft Nice at the time!) had the chance to intervene on the development of a new workspace and teaching area for EDHEC, in a beautiful Haussmann building with a glass roof Gustave Eiffel, which was the headquarters of Crédit Lyonnais.
Without acting on the volumes, floors or ceilings (budget to keep!), we imagined a distribution of reception or work spaces, thanks to the USM Haller modules, which partition and define the place of each, the communications between the occupants and their visitors.
Belux luminaires fall from the ceiling or stand on the Haller tables in a peculiar rhythm, visible from the interior street of the building. The USM Haller wall, which overlooks the same street, is a signature, an image of order and structure.
Bend (B&B Italia) sofas and Patricia Urquiola, raspberry-colored Phoenix tables (Moroso) favour the moments of exchange out of the office.
Toujours étonnant de constater que le mobilier USM Haller, « vieux » de plus de 50 ans, contribue encore à produire une image de modernité !
