The Hoba table lamp by Diesel for Foscarini is born from a poetic idea: capturing the moment a meteorite crosses the atmosphere. Diesel Creative Team and Foscarini thus achieve an organic, asymmetrical and irregular form. Each piece appears unique yet results from a controlled process. The outcome: a sculptural object that irresistibly draws the eye.
Mouth-blown frosted glass, almost alive
The globe is crafted in mouth-blown glass using a rare open-mould technique. The master glassblower lets the material flow freely before fixing it. Each lamp therefore shows slight variations in shape and thickness. The matte finish softens the light and creates a warm, almost lunar halo. The thick, robust glass ensures exceptional longevity.
Soft and enveloping light
An integrated LED source diffuses warm light (2700 K) through the frosted glass. The effect is immediate: an intimate and comforting atmosphere settles in. Ideal on a bedside table, entrance console or desk. The Hoba table lamp by Diesel for Foscarini never dazzles – it caresses the space.
