Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick designed a seat that benefits health. It embodied innovation in ergonomics and materials. It provided comfortable seating adapted to the multiple and cross-functional needs of the working world – all without using any foam, fabric or leather: the Aeron Chair revolutionized perceptions of office seating!

It presents the designers’ inspirations and motivations when creating the Aeron Chair. The creations of Ray and Charles Eames, the toy industry, mechanical engineering, and already, a certain economy of means and environmental impact.

In 2016, the Aeron Chair was completely remastered to better meet the needs of contemporary users.

The new chair incorporates twenty years of technological and ergonomic advancements to benefit user health and improve so-called “cross-functional” performance. Thanks to a redesigned tilt mechanism, adjustable PostureFit SL system and 8Z Pellicle suspension, the remastered Aeron Chair works even smarter than before, allowing us to do the same.
